Ponder, Playfully

.set against a theater of ladder climbing
gorillas, we beat our collective chests for the opportunity
to feel, as if important, our skins
ache, we deliberate the canonization
of illegitimate worries,
ponder playfully,
ignorance.

weavings and ramblings

.i face the lanes
and weave between,
oncoming lights, i freeze,
i'll remember to adjust my mirrors,
disguise the purpose and intent to cause
this brief, minor pause
of self-reflection will i see
as i leave my body,
i'll finally step outside this mind
and hope that i can finally look upon myself
with kind.
